CAEN SpA is one of the most important industrial spin-offs from the Italian Nuclear Physics Research Institute. The company was founded in 1979 in Viareggio by a group of senior engineers and today still designs and manufactures sophisticated electronic equipment for nuclear physics research. A928 long range
The A928 is a multiprotocol long range reader developed in Europe and fully compliant to the European ETSI EN 300220 regulation.
Capable of long distance reading using extremely low RF energy, the A928 has been optimized to increase sensibility and reduce transmitter noice.
The A928 open architecture uses a multi-protocol technology. The protocol interface was developed using a Field ProgrammableGate Array which allows easy mdification of the protocol definition. On the host side, a powerful 32bit micro-controller enables fast firmware updating for maximum upgradeability to future generations of UHF protocols.
Easily integrated with most popular data base software and fully compliant to Philips Ucode EPC 1.19, ISO18000-6B and EPC Class1 Gen2 protocols, the A928 can be used in conjunction with any tag compliant to the same standards.
Caen A941
A941 long range
The A941 is a multi protocol long range reader module developed for OEM applications and designed to be integrated into a user’s infrastructure/ devices requiring UHF tag programming and reading. The A941 is available either in ETSI or FCC version. The ETSI version is fully compliant to the European regulations ETSI EN 302 208 and ETSI EN 300 220, the FCC version to the US telecommunication regulation FCC part 15 . The A941 suppor ts Philips UCODE EPC 1.19, ISO 18000-6B, and EPC Class1 Gen2. Other UHF protocols may be available by firmware upgrade. The A941 is available either as an OEM module, for customers who want to design their own RFID solution and require a long range RFID readerengine, or in IP65 enclosure to meet the demands of rough industrial environment, including warehouse and vehicle mount applications.
